Deal: Wenger Vieli advised Ascento on its first financing round
Wenger Vieli assisted Ascento, a developer of advanced robotic systems, with all Swiss legal aspects regarding its first financing round. Wingman Venture and Playfair led the round, which included participation from individuals and non-dilutive contributions from Innosuisse and the European Space Agency's ESA BIC incubator. The funds will be utilized to launch the company's new product, the autonomous outdoor security robot Ascento Guard.
Co-founded by a team of experts, Ascento is known for its wheel-leg designed robotic systems capable of navigating varied outdoor terrains. The robots have already been utilized in large industrial sites for security purposes. The newly launched Ascento Guard aims to enhance premise security with features such as perimeter integrity verification and autonomous charging, offering a modern solution to security management.
The Team was led by Michael Baier (Partner, Venture Capital / M&A) and Dominique Mattmann (Associate, Venture Capital / M&A), and further included Claudia Keller (Partner, IP) and Nathalie Germann (Associate, Employment Law).
