Deal: Wenger Vieli advised Calvin Risk on its USD 4m seed funding round
Wenger Vieli advised Calvin Risk, a leading Swiss startup specializing in AI risk management, on all legal aspects of their recent seed funding round. Calvin Risk secured USD 4M in funding, led by Join Capital and seed + speed Ventures, to further their mission of making enterprise AI trustworthy.
As spin-off of ETH Zurich, Calvin Risk is at the forefront of addressing operational risks associated with AI, such as bias, opaque decision-making processes, and unpredictable real-world behaviour. Their innovative platform uses adaptive assessments and continuous monitoring to provide a real-time overview of a company's entire AI portfolio, predicting potential risks and their associated value-at-risk.
This funding round marks a significant milestone for Calvin Risk, enabling them to accelerate product development, scale their platform, enhance their AI risk assessment tools, and expand their market reach across Europe.
The team was led by Michael Baier (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and included Dominique Mattmann (Senior Associate, Corporate / M&A), Naomi Landolt (Junior Lawyer).
