Deal: Wenger Vieli advised DeepJudge on its seed financing round of USD 10.7 Mio
Wenger Vieli advised DeepJudge, a Swiss-based startup specializing in AI for legal search, on all Swiss legal and tax aspects of their recent seed funding round. The round was led by Coatue and included notable angel investors such as Gokul Rajaram and Michele Catasta and existing investors including Thomas Dübendorfer, Daniel Sauter and Felix Ehrat. The funds are intended to support DeepJudge's international expansion and scale the team to meet increasing customer demands, transforming enterprise legal search and unlocking new business models and client service possibilities.
DeepJudge leverages AI to help law firms and legal departments efficiently search their internal knowledge base. Founded by AI researchers and former Google engineers Paulina Grnarova, Yannic Kilcher, and Kevin Roth, DeepJudge's flagship product, Knowledge Search, allows instant access to relevant content across various systems. Their Knowledge Assistant, the only generative AI interface for legal firms, uses Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technology to provide precise, up-to-date information grounded in each organization’s knowledge base.
The team was led by Michael Baier (Partner, Venture Capital/M&A) and included Patric Eggler (Partner, Tax), Dominique Mattmann (Senior Associate, Venture Capital/M&A) and Kianoush Sadeghi (Associate, Venture Capital/M&A).
