Deal: Wenger Vieli advised DePoly on its CHF 12.3m seed financing round
Wenger Vieli advised DePoly, a chemical recycling company, on all Swiss legal aspects of its CHF12.3m seed financing round. The funds are intended to further accelerate the expansion of its plastics recycling technology.
The oversubscribed funding round was co-led by BASF Venture Capital and Wingman Ventures, with the participation of Beiersdorf, Infinity Recycling, CIECH Ventures, Zürcher Kantonalbank, Angel Invest, ACE & Company, and other investors.
DePoly is tackling the plastic problem via its enhanced recycling technology that converts post-consumer PET plastic back to its main raw components, without any additional heat or pressure. The raw material can then be sold back to industry, so that new virgin quality PET plastic items can be made, creating a circular plastic economy.
The team was led by Michael Baier (Partner, Venture Capital / M&A) and included Dominique Mattmann (Associate, Venture Capital / M&A), Dario Schönbächler and Mos Wyler (both Junior Lawyers).
