Deal: Wenger Vieli advised mimic robotics on its USD 16m seed financing round
Wenger Vieli advised mimic robotics, a Zurich-based robotics company developing frontier physical AI for dexterous manipulation, on all Swiss legal aspects of its $16 million seed financing round led by Elaia, with participation from Speedinvest, Founderful, 1st kind, 10X Founders, 2100 Ventures and the Sequoia Scout Fund. The new capital will accelerate the development of mimic’s AI foundation model and humanoid robotic hands, and support pilot deployments with global industry leaders.
Founded in 2024 as a spin-off from ETH Zurich, mimic builds AI-driven robotic systems that replicate human dexterity to automate complex manual tasks in manufacturing and logistics. With this financing round, mimic strengthens its position as Europe’s leading physical AI company and advances its goal of making human-level dexterity deployable at industrial scale.
The team was led by Michael Baier (Partner, Corporate/Venture Capital) and included Dominique Mattmann (Senior Associate, Corporate/Venture Capital), Dario Schönbächler (Associate, Corporate/Venture Capital) and Chiara Boccato (Associate/Employment).
