Deal: Wenger Vieli Advised Quickmail and Quickpac on its Business Sale to Planzer
Wenger Vieli advised Quickmail and Quickpac, innovative leaders in the Swiss parcel and partially liberalized letter markets, on all Swiss legal aspects of their acquisition by Planzer, a Swiss family-owned logistics company. This strategic move forms a sustainable force in the Swiss logistics sector, combining Quickpac's tech-driven approach for smaller parcels and Quickmail's specialized mail distribution services with Planzer's extensive logistics capabilities.
Quickpac is recognized as an innovative tech startup focusing on the delivery of smaller parcels in German-speaking Switzerland, utilizing an all-electric vehicle fleet. This acquisition allows Quickpac customers to benefit from nationwide parcel logistics and additional services, with plans to merge Quickpac with Planzer to one brand in the medium term.
Quickmail specializes since its foundation in 2009 in the delivery of mailings, magazines, and catalogs, serving over 3 million households throughout the country. With this acquisition, Planzer expands its service offerings to include addressed and unaddressed mail in the partially liberalized letter market, whereas Quickmail shall remain a distinct brand and independent organization.
The team was led by Beat Speck (Partner, Corporate / M&A) and included amongst others Daniel Oehri (Partner, Restructuring / M&A), Clara Bodemann (Partner, Tax), Stefan Müller (Partner, Employment), Alessa Waibel (Senior Associate, Financing), Fabienne Nufer (Associate, Corporate / M&A), Patrick Kern (Associate, Corporate / M&A), Kianoush Sadeghi (Associate, Corporate / M&A) and Andrea Christen (Associate, Notarial Services).
