Deal: Wenger Vieli advised the shareholders of Invariant Labs on its sale to Snyk

Wenger Vieli advised the shareholders of Invariant Labs, a Zurich-based AI security research firm and ETH Zurich spin-off, on all Swiss legal and tax matters in connection with its acquisition by Snyk, a company focused on secure AI software development.

Invariant Labs is known for its pioneering work in agentic AI security, including the development of the Guardrails framework and research on emerging threats such as vulnerabilities in the model context protocol (MCP), including tool poisoning and other agentic AI risks. As part of the acquisition, Snyk gains access to a highly specialized research team whose work is helping to shape industry standards in AI security.

We extend our warmest congratulations to the teams of both Invariant Labs and Snyk on this transaction.

The team was led by Michael Baier (Partner, Corporate/M&A) and included Andrea Riccardo Frey (Associate, Corporate/M&A), Michèle Joho-Menotti (Senior Associate, Corporate/M&A) Stefan Müller (Partner, Employment), Florin Loris Koller (Associate, Employment), Patric Eggler (Partner, Tax), and Amanda Heinz (Senior Associate, Tax).
