Four New Partners to Strengthen Our Firm

We are pleased to announce that Martin Berweger, Dr. Michael Baier, Marc Walter and Dr. Martin Peyer (from left) will join the partnership of Wenger Vieli as of January 1, 2022. They will further strengthen our corporate law, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), financial market, funds and asset management, venture capital, private equity as well as fintech and blockchain practices.

Dr. Michael Baier is an experienced venture capital and private equity lawyer. He heads Wenger Vieli's Start-up Desk and supports start-up companies in all growth stages, in particular in relation to (university) spin-offs, financing rounds, exit transactions, and the structuring of employee incentive programs. Martin Berweger is a lawyer, notary and economist with comprehensive expertise in the field of business law. He supports start-ups, SMEs, investors as well as entrepreneurs with incorporations, financing rounds, M&A transactions, restructuring, and joint ventures. His areas of expertise include blockchain projects as well as the liability of board members and managing directors. Dr. Martin Peyer’s practice focuses on banking, insurance, and financial market law. He advises clients regarding complex regulatory and compliance matters and represents them in licensing and enforcement proceedings. Another focus of his practice is providing advice to funds and asset managers as well as relating to the development of products and services in the fintech space. Marc Walter's practice focuses on cross-border and domestic M&A, private equity and venture capital transactions.
