Our Promotions 2023
Wenger Vieli AG congratulates Jonas Bühlmann (Senior Associate to Counsel), Dr. Meltem Steudler (Associate to Senior Associate), Sabine Taxer (Associate to Senior Associate) and Alessa Waibel (Associate to Senior Associate) on their promotion. On behalf of the entire firm, we wish them much pleasure and success in this new chapter.
Jonas Bühlmann joined Wenger Vieli in 2021 as a certified tax expert and advises in particular corporate clients in all tax matters, both on a national and international level. He specializes in corporate acquisitions, reorganizations, structuring, and real estate matters. This also includes restructurings, advising on employee participations as well as tax aspects on the shareholders level. Previously, Jonas Bühlmann worked for several years as a tax advisor for a Big4 company, where he also started his professional career in the audit department. Therefore, Jonas Bühlmann also has a sound understanding of numbers as well as an affinity for accounting topics.
Dr. Meltem Steudler joined Wenger Vieli in 2020. Her practice focuses on litigation and banking and financial services. She specializes in private law disputes between financial service providers and their clients and represents financial service providers in both civil and criminal proceedings. Before working as a lawyer, she was a research assistant at the University of Zurich. She has written a doctoral thesis on a subject of private banking law and regularly publishes and lectures in this field.
Sabine Taxer completed her studies at the University of Zurich and worked as a law clerk at the District Court and at the Labor Court of Zurich. Shortly after she became a junior lawyer at Niedermann Attorneys at Law in Zurich. Also as a junior lawyer and later as attorney at law she worked at SEITZ/RA, a law firm with notary's office, in Zurich and Jona. In March 2019, she joined Wenger Vieli AG in Zug and Zurich, where she advises national and international clients in all matters of labor as well as migration law and represents them before authorities and courts. Furthermore, she holds an LL.M. degree in General Law from the University of Law in London. Since December 2022, Sabine Taxer has been studying for a CAS Migration Law course at the University of Bern.
Alessa Waibel has been an attorney at Wenger Vieli AG since 2020 and advises clients primarily in the areas of financing, contract law, banking law, corporate and commercial law. She previously worked as a junior lawyer at BGPartner AG and as a legal counsel at Fisch Asset Management AG in Zurich. She graduated from the University of Zurich and obtained an LL.M. in "International Trade and Investment Law" from Maastricht University. With her extensive experience, she will support the team as a senior associate from now on.
